A Collection That Would Last a Lifetime

It is not enough to put your most priced designer cufflinks collection in an ordinary box. If you are really into cufflinks, you have to ensure that they are protected when not in use. You know you have spent hundreds of dollars just augment your collection and you wouldn’t want to wake up one day only to find out that most of them are tarnished and broken. Putting them inside a reliable cufflinks box / case would appease you.

Cufflinks box in mahogany for 36 pairs is the collector’s favorite. Once you reach your 20th pair of cufflinks, or even less than that, it is good to invest on the mahogany box especially if you are looking forward for more cufflinks to come.

These mahogany cufflink boxes measures 11 inches wide, 8 inches in diameter, and 2 inches in height which perfectly fits all 36 pairs with enough space for each pair to breath. Mahogany is the wood of choice for metal which is what most cufflinks and jewelries are made of. It allows air passage freely inside to maintain the inherent luster of precious metals and stones.

Aside from that, mahogany also looks good in your wardrobe. It’s safe to say then that the box is a jewel in itself.

The best thing about it is that this hard wood lasts for a lifetime. It may even outlast your cufflinks collection! But neither of that would happen if you have them both—mahogany cufflinks box protecting your cufflinks, and you protecting your box.

The Irony of Cufflinks Collecting

The culture of jewelry-making has been all about gift giving since time immemorial. Though the very first gold cufflinks to be made during the Victorian era were meant to replace shirt buttons, the fact that they have been made from precious stones made them jewelries in itself and thus has been meant for gifting.

Other than that, most fine jewelries are being made for the purpose of collecting. Members of the elite society are real fond of cufflinks made of silver, gold and other expensive metal alloys adorned by rubies, diamonds, emerald and sapphire. The rarest of them all are of course, the most sought-after and the owner of which becomes the envy of the others.

That’s how collecting goes. Have something that other collectors don’t have and you’ll find fulfillment right dab at the middle. All for the love of putting others to envy; all for the love of being at the center of other people’s attention, positively or not. So you go ahead and get the best cufflinks box / case to keep those precious collections intact for the next envious collector’s eyes. You take pictures of them cufflinks placed perfectly in a distinguished cufflink box and post it on your blog, on Facebook, Plurk or in any other social networking website you have. You let other people feast on what you have spent for with thousands of dollars.

Too bad you haven’t even worn half of them. And the last pair you wore was during your senior prom. And you don’t even want to remember anything about that.

Cufflinks Boxes Spell Neat

Cufflinks are an essential part of any man’s wardrobe. They are the male equivalent to women’s earrings. They have to be smart and stylish. Most men have several pairs of cufflinks for different occasions. A few pairs for work, one or two for social events, a pair for a special occasion and of course the family heirloom pair. With some men working 5 or even 6 days a week they have a different pair for every day.

But where do you keep these cufflinks? They are precious and need looking after. Some cufflinks can be very expensive (especially sterling silver ones) so you want to do all you can to keep them well protected. Why not try a cufflink box. They come in varying sizes and colors so they won’t look out of place on your dresser. My favorite is the Mahogany box (36 pairs). It holds up to 36 pairs of cufflinks and has a glass lid so you can see all of your sets from a glance. The mahogany wood itself gives a wonderful feel of grandeur and looks very classy. It doesn’t take up much room so it will fit perfectly next to your wife’s jewelry box. The only down side is that with 36 compartments you might feel you need to fill them!

So for those people who treasure their cufflinks or are just plain forgetful and can only ever find one of a set then why not invest in a cufflink box. Or drop hints for someone to buy one for you!
